Swivel Leveling Foot, Articulated Leveling Foot, Ball Joint Leveling Feet, Self-Aligning Leveling Foot, Self-Levelling Machine Foot, Universal Leveling Foot China Factory Manufacturer

A swivel foot solves a problem a fixed foot cannot: the floor is not flat. We build this range with a base that turns on the stud, so the base lies flat on a slope while the stud stays straight in the leg. The frame levels out, and the load still spreads across the whole base instead of hanging on one edge.

The base moves, so your frame still sits flat. The base swivels on the stud. On a floor that slopes, the base lies flat while the stud stays straight in the frame.

Four base sizes and five threads. D40, D60, D80 and D100 bases, with M10, M12, M16, M20 and M24 threads, so you match the foot to the leg you already have.

Studs of 100 mm and 150 mm. Take the long stud where the frame stands high, and keep the shorter one for a low leg.

Plain SS304 throughout. No coating to chip and no pad to wear out. Wash it down and it keeps its surface.

It suits floors a fixed foot struggles with. Sloped concrete, pit floors, outdoor pads and coated shop floors.

A good fit for stainless equipment. Dairy, food, medical and laboratory frames get a foot that matches the frame material.

How It Installs:
1. Walk the floor first. Note the slope and the high spots at each foot position, because the swivel base absorbs a slope but it cannot fix a step.

2. Pick the base by frame size. D60 for a light leg, D80 for most machine frames, D100 for a heavy frame.

3. Pick the thread by load and wall thickness. M10 and M12 suit light frames, and M20 and M24 suit loaded legs and thick plates.

4. Choose the stud length. Use 100 mm where the leveling leg sits low, and 150 mm where the frame stands high or the floor slopes away.

5. Prepare the fixing. Tap the leg, or drill a clearance hole for the two-nut method, then remove every burr from the face.

6. Thread it in by hand and then use a wrench. Start the stud straight. If it tightens early, back it out and begin again instead of forcing it.

7. Level the frame and let the base find the floor. Turn the feet a little at a time, work diagonally and check with a spirit level in both directions. The base tilts on its own, so do not shim under it.

8. Lock the nut, keep the base clean and re-check. Tighten the lock nut against the leg, then brush grit and swarf away from under the base at each service, because grit in the joint is what makes a swivel foot stiff. Re-check the level and the nuts after the first shift.

Applications:
Machine tools, stainless steel equipment, dairy and food plants, sheet metal enclosures, medical equipment, laboratory instrument frames, sloped pit floors and modular structures.

FAQ
What does swivel mean on this foot?
The base turns on the stud. On a floor that slopes, the base still lies flat while the stud stays straight in the frame.

When should I choose a swivel foot instead of a fixed one?
When the floor slopes or the surface is rough, and when equipment moves between positions and has to sit flat each time.

How much load does one foot carry?
It changes with the base, the thread and the mounting method. Send the frame load and the number of feet, and we will confirm the figure for the foot we recommend.

Do you make other sizes or lengths?
Yes. Tell us the base and the length you need and our engineers will quote it.

Which floors suit these feet?
Sloped concrete, pit floors, outdoor pads, tiles and epoxy. Plain SS304 also suits areas that get washed down.
